10 Foods That Detoxify Your Body Without Fasting

I know what you’re thinking…it’s Christmas Eve…why on Earth are you even mentioning detoxifying foods on one of the top days of over-indulgence?? Well, I’ll tell you why! Come December 26th you’re going to want and need a plan! I’m very confident of that! These are some foods that will aid in cleansing your system of all the super naughty health choices you have made over the past two days! 😉 (Don’t worry; I’m right there with you! Even Health Coaches need a day…or two!)

1. Water – I’m so glad this #1 “drink” was not forgotten on the list! Drinking at least 64 ounces of water daily is in my opinion, THE best thing you can do for your body! It literally flushes out your system and leaves you refreshed almost instantly. If you want to get a little crazy, go ahead and start your day with a little fresh lemon squeezed into your water. That’ll do the trick!

2. Greens – Talk about replenishing your body with much-needed nutrients. There’s no better way than by incorporating greens. For bonus points, see if you can incorporate greens into all three of your main meals. A compromised digestive system will be a thing of the past!

3. Omega-3 Oils – Here are those healthy fats that your body NEEDS (and why skip them? They’re delicious!) I personally, have an almond butter addiction! I notice right away how my body feels if I skip a scoop of it for even one day! Also, I love adding two tablespoons of flaxseed to my Shakeology every day. Detox City!

The rest of the items shown above are wonderful, too! (Although I can’t say much about mung beans?!) So there you go! Head out to the grocery store first thing on December 26th! Add these items to your list and start eating/drinking right away. We’ve got some cleansing to do! Again, I’m right there with you! I’ll be restoring my system, too! 😉
